Parents have always been a part of our Band. It can be said, however, that our Band began to become the organization it is today when, in 1991, the structure known as the Copiague High School Band Parents Association was formed. It may be coincidental that 1991 was also the Band’s first Championship year, but there can be no doubt that a partnership of parents, staff and school administration has proven to be a winning combination. Our Band Parents Association has been instrumental in the success of our Band as our members have grown in numbers and in accomplishment.
The mission of Copiague High School Band Parents Association, is to enhance the music experiences and opportunities of students in the Copiague High School Marching Band and Color Guard program. This support includes providing equipment, flags, food, and moral support to our students before and after each competition. The Band Parents Association also presents four scholarships each year to graduating seniors.
